Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 1968 that primarily comprised Geddy Lee (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums, percussion). The band's original line-up comprised Lifeson, drummer John Rutsey, and bassist and vocalist Jeff Jones, whom Lee immediately replaced.
Geddy Lee has shared how he confronted Alex Lifeson over his dismissal from Rush, years after it took place. While the band kept a consistent line-up from the mid-1970s through to 2015, when they broke up, they underwent a number of changes during their first few years.
Concurrently, from June to July 1969, Bob Vopni supported the group on guitars and backing vocals. Later, from 1971 to 1972, Mitch Bossi came on board, playing guitars and contributing backing vocals.

29 mai 2017 · Rush splinters into two bands: Hadrian with Alex Živojinović (Alex Lifeson), Joe Perna, John Rutsey, Lindy Young, and Bob Vopni and Oglivie/Judd with Gary Lee Weinrib (Geddy Lee), Sammy Rohr, Xavier "Sam" Dangler, and Lindy Young. Both are managed by Ray Daniels.
