Robert Mirabal (born October 6, 1966) is a Pueblo musician and Native American flute player and maker from Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. His flutes are world-renowned and have been displayed at the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of the American Indian.

Along with Nakai, Kater works with Native musicians Robert Mirabal and Mary Youngblood on Red Moon. Also here are non-Native players like Paul McCandless of the group Oregon and Ara Tokatlian of Arco Iris. This is a more contemporarily grooved and composed work, with Kater basing much of the music on rhythm loops.
