The Stars We Are is the fourth studio album by British singer/songwriter Marc Almond. It was released in September 1988, reaching number 41 on the UK Albums Chart, and 144 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. It is Almond's highest selling solo album in both countries and was certified silver by the BPI.

In September 1988 the album The Stars We Are was released. Originally in the three standard formats of the time, LP Cassette and CD, The Stars We Are was a 10-track album. . The record company then had the idea of getting Marc and Gene Pitney together to record a duet of Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart, which took the world by storm and boosted both Marc and Gene's care
