Drummer Thom Mooney and vocalist/keyboardist Robert "Stewkey" Antoni joined soon after. The group is best known for their debut single "Open My Eyes”, and "Hello It's Me". During 1968 and 1969, the Nazz released two albums ( Nazz and Nazz Nazz ).

29 janv. 2021 · The Nazz was an American psych-rock band from Philadelphia that released the 1968–69 albums Nazz and Nazz Nazz on SGC. Frontman Todd Rundgren launched a prolific solo career and later fronted Utopia. Drummer Thom Mooney resurfaced in the hard-rock super-trio Paris.
Drummer Thom Mooney, who retained possession of the master tapes, was contacted by SGC Records in 1970. When he refused to give over the tapes, saying he did not want the material released, SGC threatened legal action, since the tapes were the property of the label.
Biographie. Le groupe est formé par Todd Rundgren (guitare), Carson Van Osten (basse), Thom Mooney ( batterie) et Robert « Stewkey » Antoni (chant, claviers). Le nom provient de la chanson des Yardbirds The Nazz are Blue, parue sur l'album Roger the Engineer 3.
