Herb Steiner. Briarcliff, Texas pedal steel guitarist. He was born in Los Angeles in 1947 and began making music in the early 60's bluegrass scene in Southern California, where he studied with Clarence and Roland White, Billy Ray Latham, many others and was mentored by Red Rhodes in 1968.

Great article about a landmark recording that included the great Herb Steiner. It was a big influence on my life as a young boy from New Jersey, drawing me to college in Texas.
