The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School is a large independent day school for boys aged 5-18. The institution owes its name to Robert Aske, a merchant and member of the Haberdashers’ Company, whose will bequeathed an endowment for the maintenance of retired members of his profession and for the education of their children.
School Life. There are approximately 1,100 students aged 11 to 18 in the Senior School. Students join the Senior School either continuing their path from the Prep, or in Year 7 (11+) or Year 9 (13+). Whenever children join, there is a broad and challenging curriculum for them to relish.
Welcome to The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School's archives. The archives of the school are wide-ranging and varied. They include items such as correspondence, minutes of meetings, annual reports, form lists, photographs, in-house publications, posters and programmes among other things.
The boys form friendships which last not only throughout their school career but throughout their lives. During Year 7, the boys are taught the following subjects: Mathematics; English; History, Geography, Theology & Philosophy; Biology, Chemistry, Physics; Languages – French, German, Latin, Spanish. All four are taught as a carousel.
