Eugene Michael Lang (March 16, 1919 – April 8, 2017) was an American businessman and philanthropist who founded REFAC Technology Development Corporation in 1951.
Eugene Lang College is a progressive liberal arts college in New York City that offers interdisciplinary and experiential learning. Named after philanthropist Eugene M. Lang, the college is part of The New School, a university that challenges tradition and transcends boundaries.
Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, commonly referred to as Lang, is the seminar-style, undergraduate, liberal arts college of The New School. It is located on-campus in Greenwich Village in New York City on West 11th Street off 6th Avenue.

His large donations to the New School allowed the undergraduate liberal arts college to be named after him. Due to his philanthropic efforts at many other institutions, he held 38 honorary degrees in his name.
