The Isley Brothers (/ ˈ aɪ z l i / EYEZ-lee) are an American musical group originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, that began as a vocal trio consisting of the brothers O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley and Ronald Isley in the 1950s.
O'Kelly Isley was a founding member of the Isley Brothers, a legendary R&B group that wrote and performed hits like "Shout", "It's Your Thing" and "Fight the Power". He died in 1986 and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.
