May 19, 1948 - July 28, 2020. ALIVE N KICKIN burst on the music scene in the magical 70's with a smash hit called "Tighter,Tighter" that sold over 2 million copies. Written and produced by Tommy James of the Shondels, "Tighter" earned them a Gold Record which they received onstage at Madison Square Garden.
"Tighter, Tighter" is a song written by Bob King and Tommy James and recorded by the pop group Alive 'N Kickin' for their self-titled 1970 album. The tune was produced by King and James. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 1970. In Canada, the song peaked at No. 5.
