In Good Company is an album by the American musician Joe Williams, released in 1989. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male". Williams supported the album with a North American tour. In Good Company peaked in the top five of Billboard ' s Top Jazz Albums chart.
Shirley Valerie Horn (May 1, 1934 – October 20, 2005) was an American jazz singer and pianist. She collaborated with many jazz musicians including Miles Davis , Dizzy Gillespie , Toots Thielemans , Ron Carter , Carmen McRae , Wynton Marsalis and others.
Shirley Horn était une virtuose du piano dès son enfance. Elle devient la première pianiste et chanteuse de jazz à 17 ans après Nat King Cole. Elle enregistre son premier album de jazz en 1960 sur le petit label Stere-o-craft.
