Ram Mukerji (18 October 1933 – 22 October 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter in Hindi and Bengali cinema. He was one of the founders of Filmalaya Studios, Mumbai. He is most known for his films, Hum Hindustani (1960) and Leader (1964), starring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala.
Born into the Mukherjee-Samarth family, Mukerji dabbled with acting as a teenager by starring in her father Ram Mukherjee's Bengali-language film Biyer Phool and in the social drama Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat (both 1996).
Ram Mukherjee was a director and writer, known for Tomar Rakte Amar Sohag (1993), Leader (1964) and Biyer Phul (1996). He was married to Krishna Mukherjee. He died on 22 October 2017 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
