Kim Ellen Thomson (born 30 October 1959) is a British actress who has appeared on stage, television and film since the early 1980s in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Kim Thomson was born in 1964 in Scotland, of Scottish and Irish parentage. She trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama. Kim first came to the attention of the British public when she played ‘Sally Jupp’ in the riveting murder mystery Cover Her Face, part of the Detective Adam Dalgliesh series.

Kim Thompson (September 25, 1956 – June 19, 2013) was an American comic book editor, translator, and publisher, best known as vice president and co-publisher of Seattle-based Fantagraphics Books. Along with co-publisher Gary Groth, Thompson used his position to further the cause of alternative comics in the American market.
