Nikolai Delaunay, Jr. (aka Delone, Nikolai Borisovich; 22 May 1926 – 11 September 2008) was a Soviet physicist born in Leningrad, USSR (now Saint Petersburg, Russia).

15 août 2009 · Nikolai Delone has literally dragged me to science. I owe him my scientific carrier. In addition he taught me diligence, responsibility, purposefulness, and theoretical and experimental skills that were helpful in all my life.

Boris Delone was a Russion mathematician who worked on algebra and the geometry of numbers. He was an outstanding mountain-climber.
