Thomas North Whitehead (31 December 1891, Cambridge, England – 22 November 1969, Cambridge, Massachusetts) was an early human relations theorist and researcher, best known for The Industrial Worker, a two-volume statistical analysis of the Hawthorne experiments.

Alfred North Whitehead was born in Ramsgate, Kent, England, in 1861. His father, Alfred Whitehead, became an Anglican minister after being headmaster of Chatham House Academy, a school for boys previously headed by Alfred's father, Thomas Whitehead.

Whitehead quitta l'Angleterre en 1924 pour aller enseigner la philosophie à l'université Harvard, aux États-Unis, où il poursuivit ses recherches de logique mathématique et l'élaboration de ses théories sur la relativité. Il mourut à Cambridge (Mass.).
