Pete Candoli (born Walter Joseph Candoli; June 28, 1923 – January 11, 2008) was an American jazz trumpeter. He played with the big bands of Woody Herman and Stan Kenton and worked in the studios of the recording and television industries.

Candoli composed and arranged music and conducted for Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, among others. Having played first trumpet for Igor Stravinsky's “Ebony Concerto," written for the Woody Herman Orchestra, he received much acclaim for his versatility as a solo trumpeter.

Pete Candoli (1923 –2008) Candoli was an American jazz trumpeter who played with the big bands of Woody Herman and Stan Kenton and worked in recording and TV studios. A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, he was the older brother of fellow jazz trumpeter Conte Candoli.
