There was a line of Mad Max / Road Warrior action figures in release from N2 Toys around 2000. At the time, these were available from most online toy stores such as Action Figure Express, however these days most likely the easiest place to find them is on ebay. Mad Max 2 and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome were mostly filmed in remote outback locations, and with less different unique locations used, there aren't as many identifiable locations to list. All locations are in Victoria (Australia), and Melways references given where available - a Melways should cost you $30, and is pretty mandatory if you want to find things properly.

A Special Edition DVD of Mad Max was released in the US on January 4th, 2002 (get current pricing at Amazon). If you want to buy Mad Max on DVD, I would recommend getting this version. It contains both the original dialogue and the dubbed dialogue, along with a commentary, trailers, and a couple of newly created documentaries.

However, the most common question relating to Mel in Mad Max is still probably whether or not "Mad Max" was Mel Gibson's first film, a question which is surprisingly not clearly answered in most places I have looked. Mel Gibson's feature film debut was in "Summer City" (1976), for which he was apparently paid $20, while still a student at NIDA.
