5 août 2018 · 57 Posts. #61 · Jun 1, 2024. Had a reasonably long session yesterday 3pm-8pm. River clear and weed free- almost nothing rising. 1 fish- possibly the samllest trout parr in the river- a couple of other rises- North Country spiders on a 3wt and 3.5lb leader. Very odd as mid-end May was fantastic last year, when it was almost a fish every few casts.

I've heard of a good few Salmon coming off the lune, and a number of Seatrout too both by Seatrout fishers and Salmon fishing bycatch. Dont get me wrong, catches are nothing remotley like catches from the past but he river is not empty. Lets just home the few that are running ...
1 oct. 2014 · I fished the Lune for the first time below Sedburgh on Monday afternoon in bright sunshine. I managed to catch a couple of salmon,1x 14-15lbs (hen), 1x15-16lbs(cock). Both gave very good accounts of themselves. Lets hope they spawn as a pair as their genetics would make great offspring. The photos of the fish in the net don't do the fish justice.
