The historic transaction combines the skills, experience and capabilities of two leaders in Arctic shipbuilding and other high-value products.

Davie will build a fleet of six Program Icebreakers which will help maintain year-round marine trade in Eastern Canada. The Program Icebreakers will be generational workhorses for the Canadian Coast Guard, supporting year-round trade, national security and research in the Arctic.
