Peter John Sinfield (né le 27 décembre 1943 à Fulham, Londres) est principalement connu comme parolier des 4 premiers albums du groupe King Crimson. Il a participé à In the Court of the Crimson King, In the Wake of Poseidon, Lizard et Islands, dont il est également coproducteur avec Robert Fripp.
Peter John Sinfield (born 27 December 1943) is an English poet and songwriter. He is best known as a co-founder and former lyricist of King Crimson. Their debut album In the Court of the Crimson King is considered one of the first and most influential progressive rock albums ever released.
Peter Sinfield is best known as a lyricist for early incarnations of King Crimson and later, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Premiata Forneria Marconi, he also produced a number of albums, including King Crimson's "In The Court Of The Crimson King", "In The Wake Of Poseidon", "Lizard", "Islands" and Roxy Music 's self-titled debut among others.
Peter Sinfield is best known as early King Crimson's member (even if his contribution was only their song's lyrics, some covers design ideas and light during their live shows). But he was involved in some unknown musical projects still before his collaboration with King Crimson as well.
