Today, alongside advanced manufacturing, Intel in Ireland has come to represent a diversity of activities across the spectrum of Intel business from cutting edge research to design. Intel has 4,900 employees across Ireland.
29 sept. 2023 · Intel manufacturing employees work in the cleanroom of Fab 34, the newest Intel manufacturing facility in Ireland. On Sept. 29, 2023, Intel announced that the factory in Leixlip, Ireland, was in high-volume production of computer chips using Intel 4 technology.
15 mars 2022 · Once complete, this expansion will bring Intel’s total investment in Ireland to more than 30 billion euros. In addition, Intel and Italy have entered into negotiations to enable a state-of-the-art back-end manufacturing facility.
4 juin 2024 · Located in Leixlip, Ireland, Fab 34 is Intel’s leading-edge high-volume manufacturing (HVM) facility designed for wafers using the Intel 4 and Intel 3 process technologies. To date, Intel has invested $18.4 billion in Fab 34.

For Intel in Ireland, the past number of months have been an exciting time full of growth and transition. We continue to work on our latest manufacturing expansion in Leixlip, a facility that, once complete, will bring the total amount invested by Intel in Ireland to over €30 billion.
