Pierre Balmain, né le 18 mai 1914 à Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne et mort le 29 juin 1982 à Neuilly-sur-Seine 1, est un grand couturier français qui créa sa propre maison de couture en 1945. Il la dirigea jusqu'à sa mort en 1982. Christophe Decarnin, notamment, lui a succédé.
