Bjørn Torske Biography: Bjørn Torske comes from Tromsø, a small area north of the artic circle and the capital of Norway’s electronic music scene. This town has bred great artists such as Mental Overdrive, Biosphere, and Royksopp. Torske was put in touch with SSR/Crammed Discs in Belgium through Geir Jenssen, and in 1991 he appeared on two separate 12" singles on the label. Bjørn Torske. Profile: Norwegian producer and DJ originally from Tromsdalen, Norway. Torske's debut release was the "T.O.S. EP" compilation where he appeared as Alegria and with Ole Johan Mjøs as Radikal Buzz. Torske and Mjøs then formed Ismistik and released 3 EPs on Djax, as well as collaborating with Rune Lindbæk in Open Skies and Volcano.
8 janv. 2018 · Torske’s debut album under his own name was “Nedi Myra” in 1998 on UK label Ferox. After that he released a string of singles with Svek label, among them the seminal “Jeg vil være søppelmann”. That translates to “I Want To Be A Binman” in English, which shows who set the tone for Norwegian disco’s particular sense of humour.
