31 déc. 2022 · One of the Whispers' founding members, Gordy Harmon passed away in his sleep on January 5, 2023 at the age of 79. Gordy was with the Whispers at the beginning of their career, even before they gained worldwide recognition and fame. He left the group in 1973 after an accident where he injured his larynx. Leaveil Degree took his place.
They began in 1964 with five, and had only one member change in 1973 of Leaveil Degree's addition due to Gordy Harmon's injured larynx. Then with the passing of Nicholas Caldwell and Marcus Hutson, they have continued to thrive with the trio of Wallace "Scotty" Scott, Walter Scott and Leaveil Degree.
