HB Studio offers both online classes and in-person classes at the Studio. HB Studio offers an opportunity for new and existing students to audit any of our Weekly Classes one time per instructor for $20.00 per audit. Audits allow students to observe the instructor’s teaching style and the culture of the class before making the commitment to register. To learn more, visit
The Hagen Summer Intensive is a rigorous, 6-week workshop that probes the practical applications of Uta Hagen’s technique as discussed in her book A A Six-Week Summer Intensive for Actors seeking full immersion into the craft of acting. Focused on Uta Hagen's approach to acting, lead by actor Paul Pryce.

Unless otherwise noted, audits are not allowed for workshops and are currently not available for in-person classes.
HB Studio offers playwriting classes at three levels. Whether you are an actor trying your hand at writing, or an experienced playwright looking to develop and share work for feedback, HB has a course for you. Level 1 Playwriting classes are open to all without submission or prerequisite. Level 2 requires a script submission, or placement from a prior level.
