19 mars 2024 · I have Fences 4 and generally like to keep updated, but I'm having a problem finding any information about teh differences between 4 & 5. I know 5 takes us into the subscription model (by default), but I would really like to see what comes with that (other than higher cost).

20 août 2024 · Fences prior to update were neatly spaced per Fence dimensions. A Layout Snapshot was taken before upgrading to 5.81. Please note: The Fences are a little hard to see as they are rolled up and the opacity is low. But the Fence names are visible on image enlargement. 20 nov. 2017 · Right-click on the desktop and select "Configure Fences..." Click on "Layout" on the left-hand side of the configuration window that appears. Select “Restore a backup” to bring up a list of saved layout backups to revert to. When a saved backup is clicked, a preview window will appear showing you what the layout will look like on your desktop.
3 mars 2024 · That most probably due to Fences desktop pages. Try disable Fences desktop pages and see if everything return to main desktop. And later, if you wish, you can turn it on and learn how to navigate and manage it. Refer screenshot below. Note: If you on Fences 5, "Desktop Pages" was rename to "Pages".

24 oct. 2021 · Hello, For now there is no official listing for differences between Fences 3 and Fences 4. My guess the more obvious thing are dark theme support and Windows 11 support. Hopefully more information will come along when it is close to official release version. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant.
23 août 2021 · It also said that some files could not be opened or whatever as they are used by other applications. Again I reinstalled the latest Fences version rebooted, but then was greeted by Fences asking to help modify the program. As I wrote, the application is not listed anywhere on the PC, but as usually downloaded apps are on Windows C, it should be ...
29 juil. 2024 · After downloading Fences 5.80, when scrolling through icons, they still move 1 1/2 lines rather than one line at a time. No other applications show this behavior. Windows Ver 23H2, Build 22631.3810 using a Logitech G502 Hero Mouse. Restarting Explorer or rebooting computer have no effect on the issue.
